COLLECTION 2023 - A Blonde Story

“This project is a new chapter in Portraits of People, a long-term cultural project designed to bring authenticity to the body of styling images. Leaving aside post-editing to enhance the color of the hair and its shape, what we want is to capture the person in the image, taking into account both personality and aesthetics.”

“I found it interesting to see how the sunlight touched the walls differently depending on the time of day: alabaster and subtle in the morning, somber and clean at midday, while, at dusk, the warmer tones of the rainbow emerge. It seemed obvious to me then that the heart of Davines in Parma should be the scene of this campaign."

INSPIRATION

"How do you perceive the nuances of a coloration under the different types of natural light that we experience over the course of a day and what would it look like if we documented it? This is a question I asked myself one day while walking through Davines Village. I was impressed by how, as the day went by, the Parma sunlight that fell on a building evolved: a soft and subtle light in the morning, the strong rays of the midday sun, and multicolored sunsets that show a combination of cold and warm that we would love to be able to recreate in the studio. The human eye and the brain, together, translate light into color. Light receptors in the eye transmit messages to the brain, which produces familiar sensations of color. is no exception, we – and the people around us – perceive our hair color differently depending on the time of day as a result of variations in light temperature, making it look like a light blonde tone during the day. breakfast may appear a golden hue during dinner. The perception of ever-changing color and light on the walls of Davines Village combined with continuity in the process of creating real and authentic visuals came to mind. It became a story with a series of images that could document how differently a person's hair looks depending on the sunlight at different times of the day."
